A month behind? Right on time.

I have so many photos, things that have been going on it seems and life, per usual, happens too quickly to document it all. It is a struggle for anyone, especially families. I don't understand how some mamas blog daily. I really don't get it. I can spend way too much time in the laundry room, kitchen, the computer, knitting, reading to little ones, to myself, even playing and resting and then, the day is gone. My pregnancy, now at 34 weeks, slows me more and more and prepares me mentally and physically to make room for a new Muellerling. I also think that my plan to print my blog may be in jeopardy. I took most of my uploaded pics with my phone which means the resolution may not be high enough...oh well....I blog on! We've celebrated Halloween, Thanksgiving, a birthday boy and now just trying to keep a routine is top priority. Regular healthy meals, regular bed and wake times..taking vitamins. Crafting and reading ideas are on deck. We enjoy our family time together daily. I began reading the first of The Boxcar Children and promptly took a nap after one chapter..that's okay, one more Charlie Brown or 1970s Christmas movie please...I welcome you for my much needed mid day nap. Last night was fun. Put the boys to bed together to keep warm and brought the big girl to bed with us. Had our heater go out and two bricks fall out of our interior fireplace last night. Ironically, it was not too stressful as we have had plenty of chilly nights when we lived in an A frame cabin in Burton, Texas for the first 9 years or so of our marriage. We have enough warm bodies and goose down blankets to handle the Texas cold around here anyway! So blessed, in all our mess, I say.

Hope you are enjoying preparing things for Christmas and not stressed by what you think you need to buy or make or do. Follow your instincts. I do recall, the baby was born and kept in a manger. His kingly head and baby body rested in an animal food trough that was likely quite dirty. How many farmers do you know that wash a feed trough for animals? Mary gave birth in the hay and maybe the weather was not perfect either. He was born to die. Wrapped in death clothes, swaddling clothes, for you and me. And, in all our imperfect mess. A grace gift of eternal salvation for eternity if you so choose. That is all you have to do is choose. So good to know, calms me down, makes me slow down and savor what is here around me..namely, little people who say "mommmm" all day long, pleading for my help with an action figure, a doll, their pants, whatever...put the food out again, clean it up, start again tomorrow. I am thankful. (smiles)
