I feel a strange tension or a bit of anxiety. We are waiting for my parents to bring the children home right now. Should be a bit crazy these first hours or day home. My parents have been the "boss" for 8 days and now it is back to old hat, mom and dad. Oh dear. I am sure there will be things they miss about being at my folks house. I am sure they have missed their toys and kitties that are here.
Martin is doing well today. He had a really good nap without any interruptions today. My sister and brother-in-law (nieces too) made a needed grocery run for us. Even still, I am out of laundry detergent, so dad or mom will get that on the way here. We will set up baby Tess's crib again when they get here and move the children's things back in. A good friend, Kelley, brought over salad, Gun's fave dressing, Annies Naturals Roasted Red Pepper, after I requested it one time to Kelley...thanks Kelley! It is the only one, right now, that will coax that boy to eat a fresh salad. And a ziti, spinach cheesy comfort casserole with whole wheat pasta. Food can make it all so much cozier and easier and the timing of her home cooked meal is perfect. Mona and Cheryl have also given us some pre-cooked meals. It will be such a blessing in the days ahead, such a blessing to enjoy their efforts and take some task off of me too. What a pleasure and what a help. Thank you!
I do have mountains of laundry and soon, little ones to attend to but, I have taken on a new knitting challenge. See the beginning suggested cast-on method here if you are interested in what I am embarking upon craft wise. This is definitely a challenge and I am determined as I have already bought the pattern, needles and yarn...what have I gotten myself into? Truly though, this lovely knit project, seen here, is just what I need and want right now. We are enjoying this port in the storm.
Thanks for the update - wish I could be of more practical help to you. But know that we are praying and hope to see you soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you Pamela. We are so truly blessed with help. Some things just have to take time and cannot be helped as you know but the areas where help has been needed, little angels abound around here! Thank you again and you better come visit soon! love you! ~Traci
