Conservatism 101?

Conversation with boy of almost 7 years with mama who is folding laundry, making bacon, eggs and homemade waffles and strawberry syrup:

"Mom, I need to get into the van."

Why?

"Because I need to get something."

You will have to wait, I am working.

"But I don't want to wait"

Then you can help me finish my work and then I can help you unlock doors to get to the van, etc.

"But I don't want to work"

Then you will have to wait. People who don't want to work have to wait for others. Isn't that sad?

Boy returns 3 minutes later after getting doors unlocked and coveted object from van.

"Look Mom, I got it myself!"
